Jon Neuhaus currently serves as Chair of City Year Los Angeles' Red Jacket Society. City Year is a national youth service corps that places 17-26 year-olds in schools to serve as tutors, mentors and role models. The Red Jacket Society is City Year's major individual donor campaign. Mr. Neuhaus formerly served as a City Year Corps member in 1990-1991 in Boston and as a member of the Start-Up Team in Chicago in 1994. Mr. Neuhaus was a Founding Citizen of City Year Los Angeles, helping to bring City Year to Los Angeles in 2007.
Jon Neuhaus also sponsors service dogs for the National Education for Assistance Dog Services (neads.org). Jon’s father, Rev. Lee A. Neuhaus, was a recipient of a service dog before his passing in 2005. Since, Jon has supported the training of several service dogs at NEADS.
Jon Neuhaus has coached Little League baseball in Southern California from 2010-2015 and in 2017. Mr. Neuhaus also coached in North Oakland Little League while a student at U.C. Berkeley from 1993-1995.
His passion for sports extends beyond baseball. A co-owner of the Green Bay Packers (the Packers are the NFL’s only fan-owned franchise), Jon Neuhaus also is Executive Producer of “The 60 Yard Line,” a romantic comedy about Mr. Neuhaus' beloved Packers. The movie received acclaim on the film festival circuit, including Best Comedy at the Los Angeles Independent Filmmakers Showcase in 2017. The film enjoyed a theatrical release in the September 2017. It is now available on demand.
Jon Neuhaus is a graduate of New Hampshire's Phillips Exeter Academy (1990). Jon earned a bachelor's degree in political science and history from the University of California at Berkeley (1995). Mr. Neuhaus graduated with High Honors and High Distinction in General Scholarship. He also played on Cal's Ice Hockey team. Later Mr. Neuhaus received his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management (2002) with concentrations in finance and strategy.
